| The Timeless Moment Art Academy is going to announce a one week residential Enamel workshop at the JSW Enamel Studio, Jindal Iron & Steel Company, Vashind (70 kms from Mumbai). The JSW studio provides facilities to artists study and experiment enamel on large surfaces on copper and steel both. We support all the artists and beginners to realize their ideas in the art of enamelling on metal. Dates : January 31st to February 6th, 2011 Duration : 7 days (Full day working) Type of workshop : Residential Venue Location : Jindal Iron & Steel Company Village - Vasind, Taluka Shahapur, Dist. - Thane - 421 604. Workshop Concept The main concept of this workshop is to introduce the printing techniques on pre-coated steel panels and 3D art forms making on copper. Technique 1 PRINTING PROCESS ON STEEL The workshop will start with the direct printing process (DPP) on steel plates with industrial enamels. The readymade screens with texts and half tone images will be available at the workshop for the participants to use. Participants may also bring their own screens with their own designs/compositions. This technique could be used by intermixing with other techniques. Technique 2 3D ART FORMS IN COPPER Copper has tremendous possibilities to form into various shapes. It adds another dimension to the enamelling. We will make 3D forms and enamel it. The workshop involves a high degree of interaction with the artists, designers and professionals from various fields as part of the learning process, and thus can only be offered on a fully residential basis. This course is regarded by the Timeless Moment as the standard entry-level training. Places are very strictly limited to twelve, due to the working facilities and guest house accommodation and so early booking is essential to avoid disappointment. We take a pre-reservation to secure places.
