| The Timeless Moment Art Academy is going to announce a one week residential Enamel workshop at the JSW Enamel Studio, Jindal Iron & Steel Company, Vashind (70 kms from Mumbai). The JSW studio provides facilities to artists study and experiment enamel on large surfaces on copper and steel both. We support all the artists and beginners to realize their ideas in the art of enamelling on metal. Dates : November 7th to 13th, 2011 Duration : 7 days (Full day working) Type of workshop : Residential Venue Location : Jindal Iron & Steel Company Village - Vasind, Taluka Shahapur, Dist. - Thane - 421 604. Workshop Concept PAINTING TECHNIQUES ON STEEL The workshop will focus on various painting techniques on steel with wet and dry application methods in industrial enamels. The wet process will include brush applications, spray process, pouring and dipping methods. The dry process will include sifting method. Also some other experimental techniques will be covered during the workshop. 3D ART FORMS IN COPPER Copper has tremendous possibilities to form it into various shapes. It adds another dimension to the enamelling. Our main focus in this workshop on copper will be to create 3D wall hangings, bowls and sculptural forms and installations. The workshop is fully residential and involves a high degree of interaction with the artists, designers and professionals from various fields as part of the learning process. This course is regarded by the Timeless Moment as the standard entry-level training. Places are very strictly limited to twelve, due to the working facilities and guest house accommodation and so early booking is essential to avoid disappointment. We take a pre-reservation to secure places. As per our understanding with the JSW Foundation each artist has to contribute one best quality work to the JSW for their collection.
