Enamel Jewellery in Sgraffito Technique on Copper

Course Objectives

The course will provide the knowledge of the use of enamel in contemporary jewellery. It will give an opportunity to create one’s own design and learn how to enamel it, finish and ready to wear. Participants will learn in practical how prepare the surface for enamelling, apply the colours and fire it. Sgraffito technique will be taught.

Target Participants

Students/designers/artists/manufacturers/jewellery business firms/jewellery makers and hobbyist who have keen interest to learn enamel in contemporary use. No any pre-knowledge in enamel/jewellery required for this workshop.

Programme Duration & Date

6 hours of theory/practical/discuss class sessions. The programme will commence at 10:30 AM and will close at 4:30 P.M. on 5^th September 2009.
Registration Fee

Rs. 1500.00 which includes all the material and required equipments to use during the workshop.

Outcome

At the end of the workshop participants will wear and walk with atleast

1 sets (pendant & earring pair) OR

1 pendent & a bracelet or 1 earring pair & a bracelet

Cloisonné Jewellery in Enamel on Silver

Course Objectives

The course will provide the knowledge of the use of enamel in contemporary silver jewellery. It will give an opportunity to create one’s own design in fine silver and learn how to enamel it, finish and ready to wear. Participants will learn how to cut the shapes from raw silver sheet and texture the surface. Cloisonné technique will be taught.

Target Participants

Students/designers/artists/manufacturers/jewellery business firms/jewellery makers and Hobbyist who have keen interest to learn enamel in contemporary silver jewellery. Pre-knowledge in enamel on copper is essential but not compulsory.

Programme Duration

6 hours of theory/practical/discuss class sessions. The programme will commence at 10:30 AM and will close at 4:30 P.M. on 6^th September 2009.

Rs. 2200.00 which includes all the material (including fine silver sheet, fine silver flattened wire for cloisonné & accessories) and required equipments to use during the workshop.
