The Timeless Moment Art Academy is going to announce a one week residential Enamel workshop at the JSW Enamel Studio, Jindal Iron & Steel Company, Vashind (70 kms from Mumbai). The JSW studio provides facilities to artists study and experiment enamel on large surfaces on copper and steel both. We support all the artists and beginners to realize their ideas in the art of enamelling on metal. Dates : November 8th to 14th, 2010 Duration : 7 days (Full day working) Type of workshop : Residential Max. Workshop Concept The workshop will start with the basic process on copper and pre-coated steel in Industrial enamels. The workshop will cover a wide syllabus, which includes the techniques and technology, the application and the uses of vitreous and industrial enamel. The range of practical work has been extended to give seven days of intensive education and even more practical experience. The workshop is intended both for new entrants to the large scale enamel process and for those already involved in it who wish to further their range of knowledge or to increase their technical skill, technology and practices involved in the field of enamel. Benefits may also be gained by the attendance of designers or users of vitreous/industrial enamelled products who wish to advance their personal understanding of the advantages, applications, the design constraints and limitations of the finish and the processes involved. The workshop involves a high degree of interaction with the artists, designers and professionals from various fields as part of the learning process, and thus can only be offered on a fully residential basis. Delegates completing the course will be offered a certificate of attendance. This course is regarded by the Timeless Moment as the standard entry-level training. Places are very strictly limited to twelve, due to the working facilities and guest house accommodation and so early booking is essential to avoid disappointment.
